Ferreira is one of the oldest and most prestigious Port wine houses in Portugal. Founded in 1751, it has a long history of producing high-quality vintage Ports. Ferreira’s winemaking philosophy is based on preserving the unique characteristics of the Douro Valley’s terroir while maintaining a commitment to innovation and excellence.

Ferreira’s Vintage Ports are made only in exceptional years, when the grapes have reached optimal ripeness and the weather conditions have been favorable. The grapes are hand-picked from the Quinta do Seixo and Quinta do Porto vineyards, which are located in the Douro Valley, one of the oldest wine regions in the world. The vineyards are planted on steep hillsides with schist soils that impart unique mineral qualities to the wines.
